Is it just me? Or does Windows XP lack the ability to like...you know...do stuff? For example, most of the latest games now come with XP compatibilty (granted you usually have to download it off their website...), but "older" games (pre-2002) seem to have the uncanny ability to automatically shut down when running on a computer with XP.
you would think that a corporation would care enough about the people buying their software, to actually design software worth buying. but then again, if they did that, they wouldnt be microsoft.
I am waiting for Service Pack 2 anxiously... but here is my main problem with its release...
All these people are screaming and moaning about the security not all being on by defualt, to allow more usuability, but now seeing/hearing about what SP2 will offer, people are yelling about anti-trust, because now the firewall will be on by default, ( not needing a 3rd party as much, in most eyes ), and a few other things, just to show you people will always find something to complain about...
I think XP could definently use some work though, and installing SP2 will be alot easier than installing all the updates currently individually...
Microsoft is soon going to relase Release Candidate 2 of SP2... pretty much SP2beta2 ... was supposed to be out in May, but they had to change somethings because of Anti-trust
