I emailed Mark Rein about UPT 2002 and he basically said that there will not be a general public release of UPT2002.

He did say that they 'plan [to] put the performance-gathering code from the UPT into Unreal Tournament 2003 demo.'
We'll have to wait and see, but this will make a reviewer's life much easier to benchmark.
